Hours

Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, except holidays. Due to limited staff resources and closing procedures, circulation and reference desk services may not be available after 4:45pm.

In case of hazardous or inclement weather conditions, the library's inclement weather policy follows the Austin ISD schedule. If the school district closes or has a delayed opening, so will the library. But the library may opt to re-open later in the day if conditions improve.

Parking

The library does not have any dedicated parking for patrons. There is metered street parking available in front of and near the Tom C. Clark building. You may be able to find street parking along 14th Street, Lavaca, or Colorado.

Limited free public parking is available at the State Visitor Parking Garage. It is located at 1201 San Jacinto (the northeast corner of 12th and San Jacinto). The first two hours of parking are free of charge. Vehicles may enter from either 12th or 13th Street. The garage is bordered by San Jacinto and Trinity.
