The ABA Medical-Legal Guide provides an introduction to anatomy to assist lawyers working with personal injury clients. The introductory chapter provides an overview of the study of anatomy and is followed by a chapter that explains the various diagnostic tests that are available to study the body and provides a basic understanding of how to read the scans and images. A chapter is devoted to each of the major systems of the body, multisystem disorders, and pain. Each chapter includes section of “Research Tools.” This “Research Tools” section includes references to legal research texts such as American Jurisprudence, American Law Reports, and Causes of Action, relevant key numbers, and law review articles. Numerous illustrations assist the text.
