151 pages.

The American Bar Association has been crafting its Standards for Criminal Justice since the 1960s. You can read a nice overview of the effort at http://www.americanbar.org/content/dam/aba/publications/criminal_justice_magazine/makingofstandards_marcus.authcheckdam.pdf [PDF]. In each of the Standards volumes, the “Black Letter” standard is presented followed by an historical note and commentary. The Pleas of Guilty standards are evolving and becoming ever more important with the increasing imposition of collateral consequences on convictions for lesser offenses.
