Justice for all: challenges of the mentally ill in the legal system
This brief volume from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy provides an overview of common mental illness diagnoses, the legal relevance and applications of those diagnoses, and how to effectively assist and handle mentally diminished or ill clients. The author, Sherrie Carter, also provides the common treatment for each mental illness discussed and how that illness can impact attorney-client relations. Particular focus is given to criminal law and family law.
