I dissent : great opposing opinions in landmark Supreme Court cases
This compilation of dissenting opinions from the Supreme Court of the United States offers insight into the workings of the nation’s highest court. The editor, a professor at Harvard Law School, first discusses the concept behind a “dissenting opinion” and then presents 13 “great opposing opinions” along with a contextual background of each case. He also offers brief commentary on the dissenting opinion and discusses how things might be different if the dissenting justices had prevailed. A great read for anyone interested in the history and impact of the Supreme Court of the United States.
