Feature
Dorsaneo’s Texas Litigation Guide, first published in 1977, is one of the library’s most heavily used resources. This 26-volume set is updated quarterly to provide current information on litigation in Texas. The set is divided into 10 different units: Pretrial Practice, Trial Practice, Appellate Practice, Pleadings in Business Entity Litigation, Pleadings in Commercial Litigation, Pleadings in Real Estate Litigation, Pleadings in Personal Injury Litigation, Family Code Litigation, Probate Code Litigation, and Administrative Proceedings. Chapters are divided into 4 parts: legal background on a topic, a drafting guide, forms, and a research guide.
We have two copies of the Litigation Guide in print: one set that is always available for use in the library and another set whose volumes can be checked out overnight. An electronic copy is also available on the library’s computers. Contact us at (512) 463-1722 or submit a question via our Ask a Librarian service if you have any questions.
January 2018 update — please note that due to budget cuts, the library now has only one copy of the Litigation Guide in print. This print copy is updated regularly and is for in-library-use only. We also make available an electronic copy of the Litigation Guide on library computers. If you are a government employee with a library account in good standing, you can also access an electronic copy remotely with your library credentials.
