Gun Laws: A Legal Research Guide

September 29, 2014

Feature

The State Law Library has created legal research guides to help you locate legal information concerning a specific area of law.

The library’s guide on gun laws was created to assist Texans who are researching their rights surrounding gun ownership, use, sales, and manufacture. In addition to providing links to sections of the Texas and federal statutes, we have also included links to “Plain English” resources and articles from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the Texas Municipal League [PDF], and the Legal Information Institute.

Practitioners may also find of interest a selection of firearm titles and treatises as well as CLE materials that discuss legal issues surrounding firearms law.

Contact us at 1-844-829-2843 (toll-free) or submit a question using our Ask a Librarian service for more information about all of our research guides.
