Library Account Renewal
Patrons whose accounts are in good standing can renew their library accounts online. A library account can be renewed after it has expired, or if you wish to prevent any gaps in access to our electronic resources, it can be renewed early — up to 30 days before its expiration date. You are welcome to submit a renewal once you see a notification in your online account about a pending expiration or an expired account.
If there are no issues with your renewal application, we will contact you at the e-mail address you provide within one business day to verify your renewal. You can then continue using your library username (or library card number) and password to access our digital collection of e-books, practice guides, and databases from home. To receive a physical library card, borrowing privileges, and access to our full set of electronic resources on the library's public computers, you must come in to the library in person, present a valid form of Texas identification, and fill out a borrower registration form.
Please note that if you had previously registered in person and you submit an online renewal with contact information that differs from your in-person registration, you will need to fill out a new borrower registration form with your updated contact information the next time you visit the library before you can borrow library books.
If the library has a borrower registration form signed by you on file, your library account will be renewed for another year. Otherwise, your account will be renewed for an additional 6 months.
Note: as part of the online renewal process, we ask that you please first fill out our patron satisfaction survey so that we can assess how we're doing. Once you complete the brief 10-question survey, you will be re-directed to the online renewal form.
