The database contains U.S. and global environmental documents, books, government reports, and legislative histories dating back to the 1970s. 

Sources are indexed on broad variety of environmental topics, including:

• environmental protection
• climate change
• management of invasive species

Prominent publishers include the Congressional Research Service, Government Accountability Office, and Environmental Protection Agency, and others.
